Big Buck Bunny - 2nd Open Movie

Recently, the Blender Foundation has released the second Open Movie who was entirely made with opensource softwares, including Blender who was used for the 3D creation. This project was meant to show how much opensource softwares are capable of making professional-quality work.

A few professional movie studios are already using Blender instead of proprietary 3D art softwares for their animations in movies. For example, Blender has been used for Spiderman 2's animations.

I watched the movie tonight : They really did a great work and the animation quality proves that opensource softwares aren't as amateurish as some people might think.

I never heard of Big Buck Bunny before, how adorable I think Im gonna tryn watch it with my lil girls later if I can find the whole movie for it somewhere. What a cute lil fat bunny. I also would like to see Kung Fu Panda this weekend, with Jack Black, I bet that's gonna be hilarious as well. I love animated movies like this.
