| Welcome to Joes Bar!
There's already a coffee room, so I thought it was time we night-owls had a bar, where we can have a drink, relax, play the Jukebox in the corner, shoot some pool with a opponent of your choice, have a few bar snacks & spill your guts out to the sympathetic bartender.
When you post you take on the role of the bartender and give advice, support, reassurance, your viewpoint or just sympathy to the previous poster.
Then you switch sides of the bar and become the customer and order a drink, set the scene and look for the bartender to listen & help (if he can) or just try to raise a smile.

| Barman Joe:- Welcome to my bar! Please make yourself at home.
Who's my first customer?
Joe (walks in & sits on a stool at the bar)
"Can I have a pint of Stella & a Jamesons Irish Whiskey chaser please?"
Puts some money in the Juke box & hits some buttons, "More than a Feeling" by Boston comes on.
Orders a pack of Cheese & Onion crisps (chips for the benefit of US patrons)
Says to the barman "Like the new bar, hope it's a success."
"The weathers miserable, do you think we'll have a decent summer this year?"

| Okay Mr. Bartender! I will take a double B-52 on the rocks.
Now I don't know if any of you who come in here have read my introduction, but I must warn you that I do have a sleep disorder called Narcolepsy.
Basically I can fall asleep at any time, and while doing anything. Lately I have been falling asleep at the computer while still typing.
Very similar to sleep walking or sleep talking, I can continue to type even tho I am asleep. It's called Automatic Behaviors. Sometimes I type what I am dreaming. But most of the time it is just total gibberish and babble that doesn't make sense.
The other day I was dancing and singing with a bucket of cement! ROFL
So just have fun with it, and don't think that I lost my marbles. Cuz I lost those years ago! hehehe
It is a bit frustrating having this condition, as it restricts me in all ways of life. I can never really plan anything. As I never know if I will be able to do what I had planned. I might have to be in bed sleeping.
How's that for the first post? I hope I did it in the way you intended.
Oh, and Joe, are you going to dance on the bar for us too? Like in Coyote Ugly? hehehe

| Thanks for the post!
Very good, only you are supposed to start as bartender & answer my previous question first before switching sides of the bar.
& to answer your question NO, NO, a 1000 times NO - no-one in their right minds (even you Skittles) would want me to dance on the bar.
The type of bar I have in mind is more like the one in Cheers!
Joe orders another beer & asks for change for the pool table, racks up the balls & lets Skittles make the 1st break.
"Bartender, when is this horrendous weather going to stop?"

We posted at the same time. So I hadn't seen your post before I did. Crack!!!! (sound of pool balls breaking) No I doubt this weather will stop for awhile. It hasn't so far! "So do you think this summer is gonna be a wet one or a hot and dry one?"

| "Well after such a wet & miserable winter I think we are due a scorching hot summer!"
"Can I get you another drink Miss?, the takings are not very high for an opening night."
Joe comes up to the bar & orders the same again for his opponent & a Bacardi & Diet Coke for himself.
Takes the drinks to the pool table & takes his shot (I'm on stripes), sinks two balls, then fouls the cue ball into the centre pocket.

| "Well me of course!" hehehe "Thanks for the drink"
"I think you had a hot scorcher last summer too, didn't you? I just hate Hate HATE...did I mention that I HATE the heat! Especially if there is humidity."
Skittles takes a bankshot off the left side and sinks a ball in the right pocket, while setting up a straight shot into the same pocket. She takes that shot and sinks it with no problem. Now turning towards the other end of the table, takes a shot clipping the edge of the ball and hammered it in the left corner pocket. Blocked by a striped ball, Skittles tries a shot around and scratches.
(you will have to tell me when we make the switch, as I have never done anything like this before) oh and I need to take a quick look at the forumotion support forum. brb = Be Right Back

Barman makes 2 Irish Coffees - these are on the house as you two are my best (& only) customers tonight.
Joe takes opportunity to pop to the Gents.

| Barman " You seem to be drinking alone sir!"
Joe " I'm just finishing this one then I must go!"
Sweet Child o' Mine comes on the jukebox, fights the urge to get up on the bar & dance with the ultimate air guitar track.
See you tomorrow.
Knocks back his drink & pays his bar tab, gets his coat & walks out into the rain outside.

Puts some music on the Jukebox, Coldplay comes on singing "Yellow"
Connects up the barrels of Guinness, shipped over from the St. James Brewery in Dublin for this weekend.
Gets ready for the start of the St. Patricks weekend business, pours himself a Shirley Bassey on the rocks.
Takes up position on the other side of the bar.

| "England are going to win of course, but then I would say that!"
It's now Saturday the 15th, & St. Patricks weekend has started, so I'll pour myself the first pint of the Black Stuff & put a Shamrock on the head.
Absolutely beautiful!

See you later! | |

| Walks in & finds an empty bar, Late at night, so I pour out a large glass of a very smooth vintage port - a Grahams.
The Jukebox plays "The Irish Rover" by The Pogues & The Dubliners.
I rack up the pool balls for a quick frame with Bono, to see if he shoots pool as well as he sings!
I order a pint of Liffey water for Bono, & show him how to play.
"Should I humiliate him on the pool table or throw the game & let him win?

| Enters the bar & puts a Guinness on, could it be any other drink today?
Well I beat Bono fair & square, he made a fight of it. But the luck of the Irish was with me, strangely enough!
Tops off the Guinness & leaves it to stand.
Walks around the bar & takes that first long, deep refreshing swig of the porter.
Sunday, Bloody Sunday by U2 comes on the Jukebox.
Starts a game of Pool with Nessa, hoping she's not as good as Skittles!

| Skittles slips in silently with a slight hangover, and sneaks behind the bar, to act like she has been here the whole time, and pays up her tab for the two beers. Altho, she didn't mention it was two 6 packs...hehehe. Otherwise, she wouldn't have gotten drunk off of two beers. lol
I think I will mix up some drinks. Anyone want anything?
