Record no: of users online.

I see that we had a record number of users online last night at 7.09pm - 31 users on the Realm at the same time!

So the question has to be why so few posts?

We are getting peoples attention but not keeping it & drawing them into our group, we need to get them actively involved or we will lose them!

I noticed that too this morning Joe. I think my add campaigns are doing well with bringing people here through Google Adsense ad my Adbrite accounts , But it's true, I don't really know why they don't sign up and post. Some do sign up and then again just never post anything at all either way, you know?

I'm always up for new ideas for The Realm, What do you guys think would bring in more members here? Adult content is not allowed on forumotion forums, It breaks the terms of service and my forum could be deleted for such sections really, so thats not really an option for us here. Id like to keep The Realm around for a while.

I'd be tempted to have a debate section.
Ofcourse, those sections are rather risky, but with tight rules it can become a place where people can express their views and comment on tngs that matter

It depends on the member I guess, to a yuppie ner like me I can say that some of the topics here are not really that appealing for my tastes. It's not that I'm ridiculing the whole forums, maybe these people just can't find their cup of tea here...

Very true Colicab, alot may not like The Realm really or find it interesting enough maybe. And that's ok I guess, the realm is a very random place..lol I'd like to have an Adult section and a Debate section here at The Realm. I just fear the outcome of it, I guess, cuz when people start talking about things they're passionate about. Things can escalate so quick to flame wars, I've seen it happen so many times before.The same with adult content topics, some may find certain things inappropriate and some may not. It's a fine line I need to render the parameters on first really because of the TOS. But I don't see why we shouldn't have these sections here. I'll discuss it with staff and work something out. Thanx for the input guys.

Its a shame we cant have adult content. Porn always bring people. lol Then again it normally brings alot of retards and fakes. Though cameltoes are not nude, so hey sounds like a way.

Justin, where have you been hiding hun ,eh? No nudity here never buggers. Justin that's what I was tryna get away from , from sites like CS, Bangme, Etc. It breeds stupidity. Blah I've seen some thing on those sites, I swear , I never wanna see again.

As for the Adult section for the moment, still needs some fine tuning really. But it could possibly happen.

( No Swearing ) CS them ( No Swearing ) dont like the way i play and forever enjoy banning me. Cameltoes are great........ I mean the ol lady is great. We hit a few bumps do to my drinking so Ive had to sober back up again. The drinking wasnt effecting us, we had a fall out a good bit ago and i told her i would stop and i didnt and hid it from her and then I got drunk and told her one night. lol Then the ( No Swearing ) hit the fan cause i was "lien" to her. Psh I wasnt lien i just didnt tell her. lol So I had to quit forreal this time or loose her forever and as much fun as it is to be single, im getting to damn old to be ( No Swearing ) different tramps all the time getting no where and spending loads of money in the process. So I guess im looking towards the next step of settling down, getting old, loosing hair, and all the other things that come along with the next step of settling down. here's what i'd like to see:

1. a debate section (think we could come up with interesting topics) and think it will encourage members to join in

2. more news articles and sport (members tend to like that kind of thing)

3. more games (cos that works on any forum!)

4...and this is going to sound strange, but a forum of the month!

we let members post what forum they would like to see here, and then each month we take a member idea and install the forum (yeah...very clever idea!) then the members are kind of getting a say.

also, more spread out forums. general is good, but thinking more along the lines of members that want to talk about another topic.

think we need a book section, an animal section, and maybe an travel / abroad section, where members who are from other places can chat about things relevant to there country with out the need of other members replying and trying to change the subject.

for example, if say someone from spain wanted to talk about aventura (and none of you knew who aventura were) the spanish members could have there own thread.

kind of like privacy..

seen this somewhere else....we have an awards section, and then we post up for example, best newcomer, most helpfull member, and people vote for who they think deserves the title. might think that members are getting involved more if we do that.

yeah...glad you like the idea of a country forum (let's see it implemented!)

and no, the homepage wouldn't get full, because what we'd do is remove the forum, and replace it with the new board

I'd take that very personal if something I asked for got implemented and then removed

We dont need or want porn on here but IMO what this site is missing is a general theme or based off something that generates interest in others.

I am on a car forum that has 100K members. I have well over 5K posts there but the point is there are a ton of people with interest in cars.

If this site was geared towards something specific then it could perhaps generate interest in advertisers. Then Nessa would be making some dough!

If anything is missing I feel there should be a section just for videos and pictures. Keep it all in one spot. This is the most popular section of the car forum I am on. The picks and vids section has over 60K Threads, 1.27 million posts and well over 50 million views. One thread alone titled "Let's see all the Hot Girlfriiends" has more than 4 million views. It's PG and all but holy crap a ton of people look at it.

Obviously this is not the right kind of topic for here but it goes to show that sex, even when PG sells quite well. Food for thought but finding a nische for this site will benefit it greatly and increasing traffic is what it is all about.
